Ham, Cheese and Tomato Toasties

- Sandwich bread400 g
- Sliced ham200 g
- Cheese slices8 ea
- Tomatoes200 g
- Butter40 g
Method
- Butter one side of each slice of bread — that side goes against the pan.
- Build each sandwich with a cheese slice, the ham, thin tomato slices, then a second cheese slice.
- Cook in a dry pan over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until deep golden.
- Press down with a spatula, flip, and cook the second side for another 3 minutes until the cheese runs.
- Rest for a minute before cutting, or the filling escapes.

- 200 g Tinned tuna instead of Sliced ham
Drain the tuna well and spread it between the cheese slices so it does not make the bread soggy; cooking time is unchanged.
