A simplified version of the popular Szechuan dish Stir Fried Green Beans with Minced Pork. Same flavour punch but made with everyday ingredients. Has intense flavour so you won't miss the sauciness of usual stir fries. Mix it up with rice then eaten with a spoon - forget chopsticks! Ingredients
- green beans300 g
- pork mince220 g
- small onion — finely chopped0.5 ea
- garlic cloves — finely chopped2 ea
- fresh ginger — finely chopped10 g
- peanut oil — 2 ½ tbsp50 ml
- dark soy sauce — 1 tbsp20 ml
- Shaoxing wine1 tbsp
- white sugar — 1 tsp4.3 g
- chilli garlic sauce1.5 tsp
- red chilli — sliced1 ea

Prawn Stir Fry with Green Beans
- 300 g Raw peeled prawns instead of pork mince
Chop the prawns roughly and stir-fry them for 1 to 2 minutes until just pink before adding the sauce, then finish as written.
Vegetarian
Tofu Stir Fry with Green Beans
- 220 g Firm tofu instead of pork mince
Press the tofu, crumble it and fry over high heat for 4 to 5 minutes until golden before adding the sauce, instead of the 2 minutes for pork.
Vegan
